After suffering a life-changing injury, an Upstate officer is beating the odds, and doing it all while on one leg.
Keith Soules lost part of his leg when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle while riding his motorcycle home from work in Spartanburg less than one year ago.
Soules returned to work soon after as a records clerk, but didn’t stop there.
Friday morning, he took a demanding test to re-join the SWAT team. And he did it on a permanent prosthetic leg.
Captain Art Littlejohn from Spartanburg Public Safety says Soules passed the test. Littlejohn has recommended Soules be allowed to rejoin the SWAT team and hopes he is back on by next week.
